Recently noticed a trend on social media called "propaganda I'm not falling for", where people list the trends they're consciously avoiding. Found it via secondhand exposure to social media stuff (mainly through organization's Slack), and found it really interesting.
So, I thought I'd join in. It's funny to share and get to know people via their answers.
Things I'm NOT falling for:
Needing social media
Having to always use the latest tech
Electric vehicles being more env-friendly
Being unable to make a difference
Having a strict year plan
Privacy pessimism
Hookup culture
Using web frameworks for a single website
Having to monetize your skills or hobbies
Remote work (I really need to physically distinguish from work and personal time)
Doing things by yourself being sad or boring
Romanticizing love from books/movies
AI chatbots
Propaganda I AM falling for:
Minimalism and digital minimalism
Hybrid vehicles
Waking up early
Coffee meetings
Private life, small circle
Accepting that not everything is under our control
