First of all, I have to say that this purchase was just a testing thing, maybe to prove that my iPhone 11 Pro is way more than enough for what I need (for real...)
So, I went and bought a brand new 17 Pro to test it... these are the things I disliked:
And many other smalls things that made me prefer my 11 Pro; such as the phone being bigger and thicker and struggling to slide the notification centre due to the dynamic island (known issue apparently), the inability to sideload old apps I had on iOS 17 (the old but gold 2021 spotify app),
Do I really need this phone upgrade? The answer is; not at all... I've made myself some questions and they all made me say; I don't need it.
The camera of this phone is amazing, I have to admit it but, did I have issues with the 11 Pro? No! That one is great too and it's more than enough.
Performance? Insanely good, but... I always try to keep my phone as minimal as possible. My current configuration has five apps; the bank app, WhatsApp, Spotify, Slack, Outlook... that's it. Do I need the best ever chip on a phone to run these five bloody apps? You get it.
Sound? Screen? Same thing. It sounds amazing, but I always listen to music on the car or an external speaker. The screen is great, but as I say, I don't need an extremely great OLED display to send some WhatsApp messages, take notes and read my email.
Lovely iOS 17 home screen, pleasant 3G always-full signal bar, a battery that runs the whole day. Why would I change...
Before purchasing it, I had it in my mind that I was probably going to return it, but wanted to give it a try. As can be seen, it was so clear.
